Syracuse, New York has dozens upon dozens of choices for lodging. When making your choice, remember to search all the areas of Syracuse, including downtown, the Syracuse University Area, Armory Square, Syracuse North, Syracuse South, Syracuse East and Syracuse West; also the North Suburbs, South, East and West Suburbs. Whether you are looking for a budget-friendly motel, upscale hotel or country inn, Syracuse has it. The nearby towns of Dewitt, Ithaca, Oswego, Liverpool, Utica, Fayetteville, New Hartford and Waterloo also have lots of accommodations to offer visitors to the Syracuse area. If you enjoy camping, Syracuse offers campgrounds in many of its nearby state and county parks. Just a couple of examples include Oneida Shores Park which offers 55 shaded lakeview campsites and Green Lakes State Park where its two glacial lakes are surrounded by upland forest. Green Lakes also includes cabins, as well as tent/trailer sites, a dumping station, boat rentals, hiking trails, golf, a playground, showers and pavilions. Nearby Chittenango Falls State Park has a gorgeous 167-foot waterfall with hiking trails, picnicking and fishing, as well as campsites for tents and trailers.
